Who regulates the internet? I’m not very sure about it but I think no one regulates the internet. But after I do the research, I understand that the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) have the right to regulation of the communications and multimedia industry. This mean that MCMC can regulates the internet. The Commission is also charged with overseeing the new regulatory framework for the converging telecommunications and broadcasting industries and on-line activities.
Personally, I think that there should be an internet censorship since nowadays there are too many uncomfortable website can be easily to search such as pornographic website and some other negative educates website. It will directly influence kids mind and may destroy their childhood and future. So, I think that internet censorship should be implementing.
Internet indeed will influence kids mind, it depends whether its in a good way or bad way. I admit that nowadays kids are really into internet yet their parents should teach them to use it in a proper way. But I personally think that censorship do not really affect the kids because parents is the one should keep track on what their kids is up to on the internet. =)
ReplyDeleteAgree, we cannot assured that the kids are always access to the safe sites or protected from the harmful software or websites. They might be easily been influenced by all the wrong information since they still cannot think it in a more matured way.
ReplyDeleteAgreed with your point that there are too many uncomfortable website. I believe that the Internet should be treated like a public place and should be policed accordingly. That means censoring adult or offensive sites that are readily accessible to children, among other much-needed censoring measures.
ReplyDeleteKids easily get influence from the internet and can't really know which is turth, which is rumor. They may be influnced by the wrong information or negative webiste if someone not teach them use internet in a right way.
ReplyDeleteYes. Kids learn fast. They learn what they see, without knowing whether it is right or wrong. They can't make the right decision seriously. Some parents will just blame their children for being mistake but they, themselves should be responsible too. Kids nowadays are too exposed to the Internet and parents should have control on it.
